This year there will be more residents over the age of 65 than under 15 years old and this age shift has huge implications for both workers and customers. To address this trend, the City of Newton joined the World Health Organization’s and AARP’s Age Friendly Network and has completed the first phase of Planning for An All-Age Friendly Newton (PLAAN) which involved community listening sessions with over 300 residents.
